All Scout Groups, Districts and County Sections under POR have to maintain adequate insurance cover and undertake an annual review. Scout Insurance Services at Lancing will send Treasurers their concise reference Pack showing in very comprehensive detail all the insurances which are available and their terms. It is strongly recommended that all Group and District Treasurers, who are the individuals responsible under POR, should obtain the Lancing Pack, even if they don't insure at present through Lancing. No two situations are ever exactly the same and the course of action taken by the Scouter must ultimately be his or her decision. The purpose of this advise is to give the Scouter some information and guidance to help him or her to make the decisions that have to be made, and to inform the Scouter that they will be supported by the Scout Movement in making those decisions.
