We are actively seeking an Honorary County Treasurer to join our County Executive and provide strategic assistance and financial guidance to the Committee, the members of which are the trustees of the charity.
The principal responsibilities of the Treasurer are: to ensure that the charity is run on a sound financial footing; to advise on strategic financial matters affecting the charity; and to assist in the effective administration of the Scout County in accordance with the 'Policy, Organisation and Rules' of the Scout Association and charity criteria.
Up-to-date financial procedures and systems are in place and County employees undertake all the day-to-day financial operations.

The County is looking for an enterprising and skilled person to take on the role of Media Manager. The role has become vacant due to Rob Whittington taking up employment in Guernsey at short notice.
The role involves acting as an adviser and go-between dealing with all matters pertaining to Hampshire Scouting and the media, including press releases, TV and radio, and advising sections, Groups and Districts on how to maximise their profile through the local media.
Full training can be arranged via Gilwell, and there will be support from the Gilwell PR team.
