The Lord-Lieutenant’s Fund was established in 2006, as part of the 50th Anniversary celebrations of The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award. Its primary objective is to provide grants to assist young people with the costs of travel to Wild Country areas for expeditions, and it is intended that the fund be drawn down over a ten year period. One-off grants of £50 per expedition are offered, and applications, using the official Application Form, are invited from any Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Unit or group operating in Hampshire. This information is due to be updated.
